We begin with a breathtaking panoramic view of Jerusalem from the Promenade, overlooking the city from the south. We continue through East Jerusalem, driving around the Old City Walls passing Jaffa Gate, the New Gate and Nablus Gate, following the old 1967 Border line we ascend to Mt. Scopus overlooking the city from the north, enjoy the view of the city and the Wilderness of Judea.
Proceed to Mt. of Olives which borders the Old City of Jerusalem from the east, passing the Hadassah Hospital and the Hebrew University, enjoy a magnificent view of the Old City with the Temple Mt. and the Jewish cemetery of Mt.of Olives. Travel along the Ophel Road, view the Kidron Valley with its’ ancient tombs dating from the period of the 2nd Temple, the South Wall Excavations and the City of David, stop at Mt. Zion, visit the traditional Tomb of King David.
Enter the Old City for a walking tour of the Jewish Quarter, see the recent archaeological excavations, the Cardo, the Broad Wall, visit the renovated Sephardic Synagogues, view of the recently restored Churva Synagogue, visit the Karaite center and synagogue(closed on Friday), learn about the Karaite community, stop at the Burnt House see the evidence of the fall of Jerusalem at the end of the great revolt against Rome (70 AD). Visit the Western Wall.
In the afternoon we’ll proceed to West Jerusalem the New City, view of the City Center, the Government City, the Parliament, the Menorah, the Supreme Court of Justice and the Israel Museum with the Shrine of the Book housing the Dead Sea Scrolls (view from the outside), passing Mt.Herzle, stop at Yad Vashem – Memorial to the Holocaust for a visit.
Return to hotel ending till 18:00
